The curriculum of education in the Vedic period was limited to the study of the Vedas, Vedic literature, spiritual and moral subjects. The curriculum emphasized general subjects and vocational subjects.
Among the general subjects, students studied grammar, astrology, logic, history, philosophy, economics, political science, sculpture, drawing, mathematics, geometry, etc.
He also taught the Brahmins about performing sacrifices, pujas and other rituals on vocational subjects. Similarly, the Kshatriyas were taught warfare, military education, archery, the Vaishyas in trade, agriculture, animal husbandry, etc. and the Shudras in fishing, cloth production, dance and musical instruments.
