World Rabies Day is celebrated every year on September 28 to raise awareness about the magnitude of rabies and its remedies. September 28 is the death anniversary of French scientist Louis Pasteur. In 1885, this scientist discovered the cause of rabies and its vaccine. The United Nations in collaboration with the Global Alliance for Rabies Control, an NGO, has been organizing World Rabies Day. The day also highlighted the role that various organizations can play in the eradication of rabies disease as well as to make the public aware by spreading various information about rabies disease. It is worth mentioning that there is a type of virus called ‘rabies’ in the saliva of wild dogs, foxes, cats, bats. When bitten by dogs, foxes, etc., the virus mixes with the blood. Gradually it passes through the nerves and attacks the polar makeup and brain. Then symptoms like headache, depression, tension, nervous instability occur. At one time these symptoms are so high that the patient is afraid to drink even a drop of a drop of water. That is why the name of this disease is rabies.
