Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru (November 14). Nehru’s immense love and affection for children was the reason why his birthday was celebrated as Children’s Day. Among the children, he was known as ‘Nehru Chacha’ (Nehru Uncle). Every year on November 14, various competitions, sports, etc. are organized for the children. This day is filled with innocent smiles and sweet cries of children. Although many children in the society enjoy this day, children from poor families, especially those living on slums and footpaths, stations and stations, have not been able to touch such a day. However, children’s day has been gaining special significance in India for a long time. Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His parents’ names were Motilal Nehru and Swarupbani Nehru respectively. Nehru, who along with Mahatma Gandhi led india’s freedom movement, served as the Prime Minister of India from August 15, 1947 to May 27, 1964.
